We are pleased to provide an update on recent work as Special Advisors to the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kieran Moore, regarding the Grey Bruce Health Unit. 

On June 4th and 5th, the newly appointed members of the Board of Health met to begin their orientation. This was an opportunity for members to learn about their responsibilities as Board members, as well as the legal framework, public health standards and board operations that will guide their decisions. Orientation will continue over the coming weeks as the Board prepares to resume full decision-making authorities. 

These meetings also offered an opportunity for the Board to formally sit down with Dr. Brittany Graham, GBHU’s Acting Medical Officer of Health, to discuss her vision for the renewed organization. We are impressed by Dr. Graham’s dedication to partnership with Bruce and Grey Counties, and by her team’s commitment to strengthening public health and building lasting relationships across the region.
