Kenneth Craig, Chair of the Board of Health for Grey Bruce Public Health, is pleased to announce that Michael Murray of Grey Highlands will be joining the local Board of Health as a Provincial Appointee.

The Executive Council of Ontario approved the appointment through an Order in Council, effective July 30, 2026, and for a term not exceeding two years.

Mr. Murray has extensive experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He served for 28 years with the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, including as its Chief Administrative Officer from 2004 to 2020.

“On behalf of the Grey-Bruce Board of Health, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Michael as the newest member of the Board. His experience will bring an important perspective to the Board and I look forward to working with him on our collective mission of promoting and protecting the health and well-being of everyone in Grey and Bruce counties,” says Chair Craig.

Mr. Murray joins Chad Richards and David Nusko as provincial appointees on the Board of Health, which held its inaugural meeting on July 24, 2026. Grey County representatives on the Board are Shirley Keaveney (Vice-Chair), Dane Nielsen, Barbara Dobreen, and Scott Greig. Bruce County’s representatives are Kenneth Craig, Steve Hammell, and Rod Anderson.
