The Board of Health of the Grey Bruce Health Unit has elected Mr. Alan Barfoot as Board Chair for a one-year term.
Mr. Barfoot, a provincial appointee on the Board of Health, was nominated for the Chair’s position by provincial appointee Helen-Claire Tingling. The nomination was seconded by Grey County representative and Hanover Mayor Sue Paterson, who served as Chair for 2020 and 2021.

“I am honoured to serve again as Chair and look forward to working with the new Board of Health, which is made up of members who are each dedicated to supporting and advancing the Grey Bruce Health Unit’s mission of protecting and promoting the health of everyone in Grey-Bruce,” Mr. Barfoot says.
“I would also like to acknowledge and thank Sue Paterson for her service as Board Chair. The past two years have been an unprecedented and challenging time for Public Health due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Board of Health was fortunate to have Sue’s leadership, guidance, and expertise during this time.”
