Public Assistance Request – Dog Bite – Brockton

Grey Bruce Public Health is requesting the public’s help in locating the owner of a dog that was involved in a biting incident on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Brockton.

At about 1:30 p.m., a woman was bitten by a black dog, described as a German Shepherd-cross, while she was walking on Durham Street East in Walkerton. The dog had a blue harness on.

A woman, who was wearing a black jacket and pink pajama pants, was walking the dog at the time of the incident.

Grey Bruce Public Health needs to confirm the dog is not infectious with the rabies virus. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call Grey Bruce Public
Health at 519-376-9420 ext. 1330.
