Public Assistance Request – Dog Bite – Grey Highlands

Grey Bruce Public Health is seeking the public’s help in finding the owner of a dog that was involved in a biting incident on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, in the town of Priceville.

At about 6 p.m., a man, who was working on his car on Artemesia Street, was bitten by a medium-sized, long-haired black dog. The dog was running at-large at the time of the incident.

Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog is not infectious with the rabies virus. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Grey Bruce Public Health at 519-376-9420 ext. 1307.
