Effective Monday, March 1, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., the Grey Bruce Health Unit moves to the Green Prevent Level of the Ontario COVID-19 Response Framework.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update: We are currently not booking vaccinations. Please avoid calling in an attempt to schedule vaccinations at this time. For week of March 1, vaccinations will focus on 2nd dose for all LTCH residents; First Responders (Police and Fire); Community Health Care Workers in Highest/Very High Categories; Community Needle Exchange Partners; and over 80 clients. For clients 80 years of age and older - primary care should be reaching out to them directly; and, for those in this group who do not have a primary care provider (or have a primary care provider outside of the Grey/Bruce region, a 1800 # will soon be available to book appointments.

Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program Information

 

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program.

 

The Ontario Seniors Dental Care program is a new program aimed to help low income seniors’ access dental care. To qualify, you must:

  • Be 65 years of age and older
  • Be a Resident of Ontario
  • Have an income of $19,300 or less for single senior; combined income of $32,300 or less for a couple- (Line 236 from your income tax form)
  • No other forms of dental benefits (e.g. private insurance or other government program)

This new publicly-funded dental care program for low-income seniors will be rolled out in two stages. Stage one launched November 19th, 2019, and the application process is open.  Stage one will provide limited service availability, based on current dental infrastructure.  Announcements on Stage 2 will be made in the future.
