Grey Bruce Public Health has lifted the swim advisory for Northwinds Beach after receiving test results from a new series of beach water samples that show bacterial levels have returned to within Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines for safe swimming/bathing.

Grey Bruce Public Health, in consultation with the Town of the Blue Mountains, has posted Northwinds Beach near Craigleith as unsafe for swimming after water-sampling results showed bacterial levels exceeding Ontario Ministry of Health standards.

With local temperatures forecasted to climb above 30°C early next week, Grey Bruce Public Health is reminding residents and visitors to take steps to prevent potential heat-related illnesses.
