What is RRFSS?

Every month, the Institute for Social Research at York University conducts a phone survey of Grey Bruce residents on behalf of Grey Bruce Health Unit.

Called the Rapid Risk Factor Surveillance System—or RRFSS for short, the survey asks questions about health behaviours, opinions and background information such as your age. The answers help to give the Health Unit a picture of the health issues in Grey Bruce so that we might better understand and serve our residents.

The survey is voluntary. You do not have to take part. All responses are anonymous and confidential.

Trained interviewers conduct the survey. Random dialing is used to generate phone numbers. Your phone number is not included as information collected during the survey. No other information about you is gathered except your answers to the questions.

For more information about RRFSS, you can visit the website at: http://www.rrfss.ca

If you have questions and would like to speak to someone at Grey Bruce Health Unit, you can phone the Health Data Analyst at 519-376-9420, extension 1522.
